Privacy Policy
WHAT WE COLLECT
If you give us your email
When you join the mailing list, we collect the email address you type, and nothing else. It is handled by Formspree and used to send you news about new instruments, releases, events and the Academy. We do not sell, rent or share it. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
If you buy a membership
Checkout happens on Shopify, with recurring billing by Appstle. They collect your name, email, billing address and payment details under their own privacy policies.
We never see or store your full card number. We can see order records — name, email, what was bought, and whether the subscription is active.
What stays on your device
INNER-WORK stores a few small values in your browser's local storage — your membership flag, the name you sign shares with, and which prompts you have already seen. This never leaves your device and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser data erases it.
Your creations are yours and they stay local. Recordings you make with the instruments are not uploaded to us and we cannot access them.
What we don't do
- No accounts, no passwords, no profiles.
- No advertising trackers. No Meta pixel, no ad networks, no cross-site tracking.
- No selling of personal information — not now, not ever.
- We do not collect health information, and we do not ask you about your health.
SHARE LINKS ARE PUBLIC
When you share a track or a creation, the name and note you add travel inside the web link itself. Anyone who has that link can read them. Do not put private or sensitive information in a share note. We do not log or store what you write there.
SERVICES WE RELY ON
- Bluehost — hosting. Standard server logs including IP addresses.
- Cloudflare — security and content delivery. Sees traffic in transit; may set a security cookie.
- Shopify and Appstle — payments and subscriptions.
- Formspree — email list submissions.
- Vimeo — video hosting. Loading a video means Vimeo can set its own cookies and see your IP.
Each has its own privacy policy. We chose services that do not require us to hand over more than necessary.
COOKIES
We do not set any advertising or analytics cookies of our own. Cookies you may encounter come from Cloudflare (security), Shopify (checkout) and Vimeo (video playback), and are set by those services under their own policies.
HOW LONG WE KEEP THINGS
Email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete yours. Order records are kept as long as the law requires. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosts.
YOUR RIGHTS
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you,
- correct it,
- delete it,
- stop emailing you.
Email create@inner-work.art and we will act within 30 days. There is no charge, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
Residents of California, and of jurisdictions covered by the GDPR and similar laws, have these rights by statute. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.
CHILDREN
The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
SECURITY
The site is served over HTTPS and protected by Cloudflare. We hold very little about you, which is itself the strongest protection. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
WHERE YOUR DATA GOES
We operate from the United States and our service providers may store data there. If you are outside the US, using the Service means your information may be processed in the US.
CHANGES
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Material changes will be announced by email to anyone on the list.
